Wax can NOT be used on hybrid or laminate flooring. Unlike hardwood, if wax is used on hybrid or laminate it doesn’t make it shine. Using wax on hybrid or laminate flooring can cause a buildup of dirt and actually does the opposite of what it does on hardwood. Instead of the wax making the floor shine, wax makes the hybrid or laminate look cloudy and dull.

What should be used? Stick with a hybrid or laminate floor cleaner and warm water to clean the hybrid and laminate. Be cautious of the flooring cleaners though. Always read the back label of all the cleaning supplies to make sure wax is not an ingredient as well.
